The Grammy Award-winning Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (27 and counting)  has released its fourth recording on its own record label, ASO Media.

The all-Sibelius release features music director Robert Spano leading the orchestra in Symphony No. 6 in D minor, Symphony No. 7 in C major and Tapiola, which is said to have come from his love of nature. He was most influenced by the work of Richard Wagner, Ferruccio Busoni, Anton Bruckner and Tchaikovsky.

The digital release is on iTunes now. The actual disc will be available Nov. 19 and can be preordered from Amazon. Both are $18.99.

Jean Sibelius (1865-1957), a composer of the late Romantic period, is considered a national treasure in his home country of Finland.
