everytongueconfess1The summer heat is rising and flames are flying in the fantastical whodunit Every Tongue Confess at Horizon Theatre. As the citizens of Boligee, Ala., try to find out who’s behind a string of church fires, the gossip simmers and secrets start to slip out. Marcus Gardley, one of the hot young writers in American theater today, blends comedy, juke joint and gospel music, magical realism and local TV news. In its world premiere in Washington, D.C., last year, critics called Every Tongue Confess “no ordinary piece of theater” and “luminous at its best.” Minka Wiltz and Victor Love (pictured) lead a first-rate cast. We have tickets for the Aug. 16 and 21 performances.
