JOHN WILLIAMS

Academy Award winners John Williams and Steven Spielberg will join the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra on Oct. 24 for for “An Evening With John Williams, Steven Spielberg and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.”

Single tickets for the 8 p.m. performance are $29 to $120. They are available online HERE or at 404.733.5000. Proceeds from the performance will benefit the orchestra’s education and community engagement programs.

Williams, a much-honored composer, will lead the orchestra in selections from several of his film compositions while  movie clips are shown on a giant screen. Spielberg will host the second half of the concert and supplement the musical program with anecdotes and insight into the movies. Audiences will hear selections from Star Wars, Schindler’s List, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, and the Indiana Jones and Harry Potter movies.

Williams, now 80, has received 47 Academy Award nominations for his film soundtracks and is the most nominated person still living. He’s won five Oscars and 26 Grammy Awards. Spielberg, 65, is a three-time Academy Award winner as a director and producer.
