It’s Decidedly Underground when you come to the Hertz Stage, our 200-seat flexible seating theatre, home to BOLD NEW voices in American theatre. Here, the world experienced Driving Miss Daisy long before it was a classic.

With titles like Broke, a new comedy by Janece Shaffer, the hilarious comedy Sex and the Second City, the winner of the 2010 Kendeda Graduate Playwriting Competition The Fairytale Lives of Russian Girls, and the bluesy drama I Just Stopped By to See the Man as part of this year’s Turner Series on the Hertz, that legacy continues. You may just encounter a compelling new script that will one day also join the canon of classic American Theatre.
