Looking for an off-beat way to celebrate Father’s Day? Head to the High Museum of Art, which has on display “The Allure of the Automobile,” a collection of 18 rare cars that can arguably be deemed rolling sculptures. In addition to the one of a kind airplane-inspired 1937 Dubonnet Hispano-Suiza H-6C “Xenia,” which took five years to build, you will find the first car to ever bear the Porsche name, two exquisite automobiles once owned by Clark Gable, and Steve McQueen’s 1957 Jaguar XK-SS Roadster (only 16 were ever built). Don’t miss the classic car parade down Peachtree Street on May 8.  The exhibit runs through June 20. For more information, call 404-733-HIGH or visit high.org.
