CX-snarkyCrumpet the surly elf is back for another round of The Santaland Diaries, and he’s not happy about it. Crumpet (Harold M. Leaver, returning for his 17th season) recounts the true-life tale of an unemployed writer working as a Macy’s Department Store elf. He copes by telling all, giving us a backstage pass to the secret lives of Santas and elves seasonally besieged by bratty kids and overzealous parents. The script, by satirist David Sedaris, is based on his book Holidays on Ice — and most definitely not for children. Enoch King and Lala Cochran complete the Horizon Theatre cast.
