buddyBuddy Holly, a native Texan and rock ‘n’ roll pioneer, was just 22 when he died in a 1959 plane crash — but that hasn’t stopped his music. This tuneful musical bio, staged by Theater of the Stars as its summer season opener, also features actors playing Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper and such Holly  hits as “That’ll Be the Day,” “Words of Love,” “Maybe Baby,” “Peggy Sue” and “Oh Boy.” This is the 25th anniversary of the jukebox musical, first introduced to audiences in 1988. It runs July 9-14 at the Fox Theatre. Our deal comes with two tickets and a $50 gift card (you pay just $25) to Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse. Oh, boy, indeed!
