childmuseum 2If you have kids at home or visiting for the holidays, the Children’s Museum of Atlanta will let them burn energy while they learn (and don’t know it). The downtown space, designed for everyone from babies to age 8 (and their grown-ups), underwent a massive face-lift last year. Many of its most popular playthings remain — including a tractor and giant ball machine. But new features, particularly hands-on STEM projects (science, technology, engineering, arts and math education) are designed for older siblings who may be at the museum with their families. The face-lift included a new 3,000-sq. ft. mezzanine level for the STEM projects, new interactive exhibits and a new performance space for storytellers and other performers.
