Metro foodies had better pace themselves this month. Restaurant weeks in Gwinnett County and downtown Atlanta run back to back and commence July 17.

gffweb-logoThe Gwinnett event (July 17-21), in its 11th year, promises dishes from top restaurants. The nine-day Atlanta event (July 23-31) features dozens of restaurants, some classic, some new.

In Gwinnett, you can create your own three-course meal from pre-selected options for $25, plus tax and gratuity (details HERE, at 770.814.6048 or 770.814.6046). Twenty eateries are taking part, from Bare Bones Steak House in Buford to Three Blind Mice in Lilburn. Here’s a rundown:

Buford

  • bare-bones-logoAdam’s Restaurant & Piano Bar. Upscale dining for almost any budget. Uses fresh, local organic vegetables and herbs grown in its own garden.
  • Bare Bones Steak House. Wood-fired steaks and chops near Lake Lanier.
  • Marlow’s Tavern. American tavern fare. Modern atmosphere.

Duluth

  • Breakers Korean Bar-B-Q. Fine Korean dining with such barbecued choices as bulgogi (grilled, marinated beef), spicy chicken, teriyaki chicken, spicy pork ribs, teriyaki pork ribs, pork belly, beef brisket and squid.
  • Carrabba’s Italian Grill. Main course choices include wood-grilled chicken, Tuscan-grilled pork chops and wood-grilled, breaded mahi-mahi.
  • Epicurean Cafe. Features regional favorites — chicken, salmon, veggies — with a spiced twist.
  • hpigHoney Pig. A casual atmosphere for Korean barbecue where you can do your own grilling or have it done for you.
  • Kurt’s Euro Bistro. An intimate, family-owned spot that serves potato pancakes, mountain trout, fondue, wurst and the like.
  • Luciano’s Ristorante Italiano. Wines from around the world and dishes inspired by Naples, the regions of Emilia-Romagna and Northern Italy.
  • Marlow’s Tavern. American tavern fare. Modern atmosphere.
  • The Stone Grill. Granite tables, stone walls and variations on Korean bulgogi sauce and pork.

Johns Creek

  • Sugo Kitchen. A family-run eatery offering large plates of traditional Mediterranean food (bacon-wrapped dates, Italian chicken with prosciutto,espresso latte cake), a patio and a bar.

Lilburn

  • Three Blind Mice. A restaurant, wine bar and café/specialty market that offers everything from burgers to steak, chicken, pasta and seafood plus lunch, Sunday brunch and specialty cocktails.

Norcross

  • Ba Bellies. A new spot that features Southern-Asian fusion food (shaking beef,
    roasted cauliflower and green curry mussels).
  • The Crossing Steakhouse. A family-owned spot that features fine dining and a casual atmosphere.
  • Mojitos. Cuban-American cuisine corralled by head chef Elsida Cortes (also known as Mom), including empanadas, stuffed plaintains and vaca frita (tender “pulled” flank steak).

Peachtree Corners

  • Ten Bistro. New American cuisine, sourced locally when possible. Big on vegetarian and gluten-free dishes.

Suwanee

  • Suwanee Park Tavern. High-end tavern-style fare from Chef T, the runner-up in Season 14 of the reality TV show “Hell’s Kitchen.” Menu includes crabcakes, hand-cut potato chips with blue cheese and bacon, burgers, steak and chops.
