Not only is The Fox Theatre an Atlanta favorite, it’s the “No. 1 Venue in the Country for 2007 (2,001-5,000 seats).” Venue Today magazine published the report, which showed the Fox outpacing other venues in terms of dollars and attendance. Billboard Magazine ranked the Fox No. 2 in North America for venues with 5,000 seats or less, based on total gross revenue. Based on ticket sales, the Fox was ranked No. 5 in the world by Pollstar Magazine in its Top 100 Theatre Venues for 2007 list.

“What makes the Fox so successful is that it is not only a very successful performing arts venue, it also a successful not-for-profit arts organization,” says Fox General Manager Allan C. Vella.  “In order to succeed in all of its varied aspects, it requires that the theater adopt and implement the industry’s best practices.  The Fox is the only theatre in the country with a full-time restoration department.  The theater itself is a National Historic Landmark that is faithfully restored and maintained without the need of annual capital campaigns.  The Fox also manages outreach programs for the children of Atlanta.”

More than 750,000 people visit the Fox every year. In addition to two Broadway subscription series, the theater hosts rock concerts, comedy shows, film festivals, the Delta International Series, wedding receptions, trade shows, corporate meetings and association functions. It has 4,674 seats and is booked for more than 300 performances a year.
