Robert Spano opens the season with two explosive masterpieces by two of the world’s most revolutionary composers. Mozart’s magical homage to Mlle. Jeunehomme is lovingly rendered by the masterful Mr. Watts. The Orchestra flexes its muscles in Berlioz’s fantastical symphony of his unrequited ardor for the beautiful Irish actress Harriet Smithson.
