catchmeCatch Me If You Can is a splashy, high-flying musical about the real-life Frank W. Abagnale Jr., a runaway teenager with eyes on the glamorous life. He uses his boyish charm, big imagination and millions of dollars in forged checks to woo women and pose successfully as a Pan Am pilot, a doctor and a prosecutor — all before age 19. It gets more complicated when an FBI agent begins to pursue him. The score is by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray). The 2002 nonmusical movie featured Leonardi DiCaprio as Frank and Tom Hanks as the FBI agent in pursuit. The Broadway original was nominated for five 2011 Tony awards. This Atlanta Lyric Theatre staging is a regional premiere.
