TOA-Sign-Elements-text-_-V2Tickets go on sale July 11 for Atlanta’s annual food-and-drink extravaganza, which this year celebrates the city’s diverse neighborhoods, flavors and innovative chefs, all within 10 city blocks in Midtown.

Watch for more details, like participating restaurants, kickoff party pricing and schedules for events such as family activities and chef demos, but here’s what we know now:

WHEN: The 13th Taste of Atlanta, which last year drew more than 45,000 attendees sampling goodies from 90 local restaurants, opens with the Friday Night Festival Kickoff Party beginning at 7:30 p.m. (VIP entry begins at 6:30 p.m.). The festival itself runs 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday (VIP Experience is 12:30-5:30 p.m.).

HOW MUCH: General admission is $25 in advance; $35 at the event and includes 10 taste coupons (extra coupons are $1 each). If you want the VIP treatment, it’ll cost $75 now, $85 at the event. Besides your admission and 10 taste coupons, you’ll get a souvenir tasting glass and exclusive access to the Wine+Beer+Cocktail Experience.

WHERE: Outdoors across 10 blocks in Midtown at Tech Square, including Spring and Fifth streets.

FYI: Taste of Atlanta is more than food, drinks, fun and celebrity-spotting. It also supports several Atlanta nonprofits, including Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters, Atlanta’s Table, Georgia Organics and Hospitality Education Foundation and ProStart. In 2013, a silent auction for SOS’s Cooking Matters No Kid Hungry program raised $42,000.
