Once-Broadway-MusicalIf you’re in the mood for a little early holiday shopping, Broadway in Atlanta has a deal for you.

The producer, which brings in most of the musicals that play the Fox Theatre, is offering mini-season packages that start at $99 and  include Once, The Lion King and Evita. Purchasers will have the option of adding tickets to The Book of Mormon and/or Green Day’s American Idiot, based on availability.

The deal is good through Dec. 7 at BroadwayInAtlanta.com or 800.278.4447.

The mini-season shows:

ONCE. March 4-9. The winner of eight 2012 Tony Awards, including best musical. This smaller piece features an ensemble of 14 actor-musicians who play their own instruments onstage. It’s about a Dublin street musician who meets a beautiful young woman. After a year on Broadway, Once is running at 82 percent capacity at the 1,100-seat Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (formerly the Royale).

THE LION KING. April 10-17. The winner of five 1998 Tony awards makes its Fox Theatre debut. Simba and friends celebrate 16 years on Broadway next month.

EVITA. June 3-8. The Tim Rice-Andrew Lloyd Webber juggernaut follows Argentinean icon Eva Perón from her teenage years in the slums to her meteoric rise as first lady of the land. Winner of seven 1980 Tonys including awards for leading lady Patti LuPone (Eva), leading man Mandy Patinkin (Che), Harold Prince’s direction and best musical. This new production is based on the recent revival directed by Michael Grandage and choreographed by Rob Ashford. It had a nine-month Broadway run.

Those buying the mini-season tickets save 30 percent compared to day-of-show pricing, according to Broadway in Atlanta, and receive priority seating before any tickets go on sale to the public.
