Atlanta Opera has added four community performances of Stone Soup, a piece for young audiences, to its 2012-13 schedule.

The additional performances are at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at the Elm Street Cultural Arts Village in Woodstock; 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at the Atlanta Opera Center on Northside Drive; 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at Decatur High School; and 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at the Southwest Arts Center. All tickets are $7 and can be purchased at atlantaopera.org. Groups of 25 or more are asked to call 404.881.8885.

Stone Soup: An Operatic Fable in One Delicious Act is based on a classic children’s fable about a community that comes together to feed a lost and lonely soldier.
